OUR OPPORTUNITY 

God is doing a mighty work at North River Church. Not only has he graciously given us a front row seat to see his glory on display, but he is extending an invitation for us to join him in the work that he is doing. After 10 years of gathering as a church in a rented facility, we moved into our permanent home in 2020. We had no idea what the Lord was about to do. North River Church experienced exponential growth and what we thought would be an adequate meeting space for many years to come was quickly outgrown. We praise God for this!

 

People are starving for truth. They have an empty void within them that can only be filled by the love of Christ. In Manatee County, 67% of people are unchurched. That’s more than 200,000 people. Tens of thousands of people are moving into our backyard. The Lord, in his providence, is flooding our community with more and more people—more and more souls—that desperately need to hear the good news of Jesus Christ.

We want to be sensitive to what the Lord is doing, and we want to be ready to love and serve all those whom the Lord would bring to North River Church. Not only that, but we also want to faithfully equip our church family to go out into our community with the light of the gospel and the only message that can bring life to hearts that are dead apart from Christ.

 

At North River, we want to help people know, grow, and go. We want to faithfully point people toward a relationship with God that can only come through knowing Christ. We want to diligently come alongside people as they grow in Christlikeness. And we want to passionately propel people into their spheres of influence to be a force of God-glorifying, Christ-exalting, Spirit-filled gospel ministry. We know that people who have experienced the love of God have a passion for people to experience the love of God. As we look to the future, our hearts are filled with faith and consumed with a desire to make much of Christ.
